80% of contributions for the upcoming Antarctica Marathon March 2023 will go directly to Seeds of Literacy, based in Cleveland, OH.

A staggering 66% of adults in Cleveland are functionally illiterate. This means they may struggle with navigating public transportation, running a household, balancing checkbooks, or following prescription instructions. They may struggle to advance at work, and may not even qualify for gainful employment. This affects multiple generations, as they are also unable to help children with schoolwork. In some Cleveland neighborhoods, that percentage skyrockets to 90%.

Seeds of Literacy fights those statistics by offering FREE individualized GED & basic adult education through one-to-one tutoring -- both in person and virtually -- to adults in Cleveland and beyond. This year, the organization is celebrating its 25th Anniversary of helping adults thrive.
